WalkAide® II

WalkAide^® II follows on from the WalkAide® and is a wearable self-contained splash resistant FES device featuring integrated stainless-steel electrodes which offers an effective treatment option for patients with drop foot.

While wearing the WalkAide^® II on the lower leg, an internal sensor identifies the users leg motion and speed after just a few steps. In-built technology uses that information to create a customised walking program. With each subsequent step, the WalkAide^® II sends gentle electrical impulses to nerves in the leg that tell the muscles to lift the toes.

To accommodate changes in walking speed, stimulation timing adjusts, ensuring appropriate stimulation with every step.
