Performance,Flexibility,
Stability and Comfort
|
|
|
|
|
The key to the
Pathfinder IIs performance lies in its unique construction.A
toe spring, a foot plate, and a pneumatic heel spring all connected
in a triangular configuration. This design provides shock absorption
during heel strike without diminishing the energy return of the toe
spring, resulting in optimal flexibility, stability, and comfort.
Rubber snubbers at the proximal and distal ends of the heel spring
alleviate medial/lateral loading on the pneumatic cylinder.
As an added bonus, the rubber snubbers allow increased inversion/eversion
in the foot. Amputee's who have tested this new design and engage
in moderate to high activities are thrilled with the increased durability
and function resulting form these changes. Additional reinforcement
has also been added to the foot shell. |
- Moderate to High Activity
- Increased inversion and eversion
- Fixed 4-hole option lighter than the
original Pathfinde
- Improved Durability and 36-month warranty
- Comes with reinforced, high activity

Pathfinder II
Kit - Part no.PFDR-KIT
The kit consists of one foot and one proximal Adpator. When ordering
a kit, please also provide a foot part number as described in the
chart below. For a Pathfinder II without slide adjustment, there is
no kit part number, simply provide the foot pa rt number.
To order a Pathfinder II foot , please select the size, side, colour,
toe spring stiffness, heel height, and adaptor |

To select
proper composite toe spring stiffness:
1. Calculate adjusted body weight. (Adjusted body weight = patient
body weight + loads normally or routinely carried)
2. Using adjusted body weight and patient activity level, select
toe spring stiffness from the chart below.
3. If the amputees weight is near the border between two
categories;
A. Choose the higher of the two categories if the amputee is
very active or has a longer residual limb.
B. Choose the lower of the two categories if the amputee is
moderately active of has a short residual limb. |
