Pneumatic Post Amputation Mobility Aid

PPAM AID

*NEW* Now available in larger sizes

The Pneumatic Post Amputation Mobility Aid is a partial weight bearing early walking aid to be used, under supervision, post operatively. The use of PPAM AID is designed to aid the reduction of residual limb oedema, allow the re-education of postural reactions, balance and gait, and prepare the residual limb for the harder socket of a prosthesis. It can also be a useful tool to assess motivation and suitability to use a prosthesis and often reduces the time from amputation to casting.

To suit the larger amputee, larger versions of the 750mm long and 850mm long frames are now available. For both, the girth of the top ring is increased by 10cm. Larger BK and AK Bags, and Cushion Bags are also available for use with these larger frames.
