PPAM Aid is a pneumatic post-amputation mobility aid designed for partial weight bearing. The appliance is suitable for below-knee, knee disarticulation and long above-the-knee amputees. PPAM Aid is used to aid the reduction of residual limb oedema, allow the re-education of postural reactions, balance and gait and prepare the residual limb for the harder socket of a prosthesis. It can be placed over soft dressing, bandaging or a plaster casts.
